Colorful procession in Nobipravi on Bengali New Year

A colorful ‘Ananda Shobhajatra’ was held at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NOUST) on the occasion of Bangla New Year-1432. The procession started from in front of the university’s administrative building at 10 am today, Monday (14 April 2025), circled various roads of the campus and ended in front of the administrative building again. The university’s Vice-Chancellor (Routine Responsibilities) Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque and Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Hanif, along with teachers, students, officers and employees, participated in it.

In a brief speech at the end of the procession, Vice-Chancellor (Routine Responsibilities) Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque said, Happy New Year to everyone present in today’s joyous procession. I thank everyone who came to this procession with difficulty in the hot sun of Baishakh. I hope this New Year will inspire us to work with new initiatives. We will all work together to take the university forward. In this regard, the responsibility of each of our members is that we will behave responsibly and not do anything against the laws and policies of the university.

He also said that Bangladesh is a non-communal country. There is no place for communalism in Nobiprabi and we have zero tolerance in this regard. We will take legal action against anyone who tries to disrupt the environment of Nobiprabi.

Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Hanif said, Happy New Year to everyone. Happy New Year. May we all be united together and take the university forward in education and research. Along with this, may we be able to celebrate universal events like Bengali New Year on campus without any problems and safely. Let this be our pledge on the first day of Bengali New Year. Thank you all.

At that time, the Registrar (Acting) of the University, Mr. Mohammad Tamjid Hossain Chowdhury, along with the Deans of various faculties, Directors of the Institute, Departmental Chairmen, Hall Provosts, Proctors, teachers of the department, students and officers and employees of the departments were present.
