But although the journalists had been waiting at the Secretariat gate since morning to enter, they could not enter the Secretariat. Later, permission was granted to enter the Secretariat at 2 pm.

According to the list provided by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum, an organization of journalists covering the Secretariat at that time, a limited number of journalists entered the Secretariat through the space between gates one and two.

Building No. 7, which caught fire on Monday, was also closed. No one except those involved in the investigation is being allowed to enter this building.

No vehicles other than the advisor and the secretary were allowed to enter the Secretariat.

Secretariat officials and employees entered the building on foot through the visitor’s room between gates one and two and gate five.

The inner courtyard of the Secretariat is almost empty as cars are not allowed to enter. Most of the officials’ cars were seen parked on the roads surrounding the Secretariat.
