 A person named Mosharef Munsi (50) died while undergoing treatment in a clash between two parties over the Waj Mahfil committee at Dumki in Patuakhali, in which 15 people were injured. He died yesterday (May 6) at 12:30 pm while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DHMC).
The deceased Mosharef Munsi is the son of the deceased Aziz Munsi of East Kartikpasha village of Munsi upazila. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dumki Police Station Tarek Mohammad Hannan said that the police are active to bring the accused under the law, they will be arrested soon.
Incidentally, like every year, the dead of East Kartikpasha village of upazila. The annual waj mahfil is organized on the grounds of East Kartikpasha Karimia Madrasa, founded by Maulana Md Neshar Uddin Noman, son of Abdul Gani Maulana. But as the people of Munsi family were not named in the committee of that festival, conflict arose between Neshar Maulana Gong and Sobahan Munsi Gong. As a result of this incident, on the evening of April 26, people from both sides clashed with sticks, ramadas and native weapons in the Munsi market. At least 15 of both sides were injured and both parties filed a case in Dumki police station.
