On the occasion of the 77th birthday of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the eldest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, upazila branch Chhatra League leaders and activists took out a joyous procession in Rajapur.
On Saturday (September 30) in the afternoon (5 o’clock) Upazila Chhatra League leaders and activists took part in the joyous procession. The joyous procession starts from the heart of Rajapur Upazila city, Prankandar Bypass and goes around various roads. A short rally was held after the procession. Speaking at the rally, Chhatra League leaders and activists said that today’s birthday of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is being celebrated at a time when Bangladesh has become a developing country under her visionary leadership. Sheikh Hasina spent her childhood and youth in Tungipara on the banks of the Madhumati River in the arms and backs of her grandparents. The other four of the five siblings are Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, Sheikh Rehana and Sheikh Russell. None of them are alive except Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana. On the night of August 15, 1975, all of them, including their parents, were killed by assassins.
Pure patriotism, foresight, strong mentality and human qualities have made the Prime Minister sit in the seat of world leadership. He is the symbol of Bengali national unity and the last refuge of hope. A nation immersed in socio-economic-political misery, Bangladesh is moving forward on the development-progress stage under his successful leadership. Comparing the past and present, it has created a surprise not only for the people of the country, but also for the world leaders. So now there is only one slogan all over the country – ‘Bangladesh will not lose the country, the way if it is in the hands of Sheikh Hasina.
