Md fell into the drain from the culvert of the drain built on the Bhola road. A young man named Manju (28) has died. The incident took place in the area adjacent to Town Secondary School of Ward No. 7 of Municipal Council on Friday night. Later, the locals failed to rescue him from the drain and informed the Charfassion Fire Service. At 9 pm, the fire service personnel rescued him after an hour of effort and brought him to the Charfassion Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The deceased youth is the son of Anwar Ali Majhi of that village and he is a construction worker by profession.
 Locals said that young Munju was talking on the mobile phone while standing on the handrail of the culvert built on the drain at 8 pm. Suddenly he lost his footing and fell into a deep drain full of dirt. Locals immediately failed to rescue him and reported to Charfassion fire service personnel. Later, the fire service personnel tried for an hour to rescue him from the deep drain filled with dirt and took him to Charfassion Hospital.
Asaduzzaman Likhan, station officer of fire service, said that after receiving information from the locals, the young man was rescued from the drain and taken to Charfashan Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
OC Mizanur Rahman Howladar of Charfassion Police Station said that the body was handed over to the family as there was no complaint from the victim’s family.
