Bijayanagar (Brahmanbaria) Correspondent: A procession and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of National Girl Child Day in Bijayanagar of Brahmanbaria.
A procession was taken out from the Upazila Parishad premises at around 11 o’clock on Tuesday under the initiative of the Upazila Administration and the Office of the Women’s Affairs Officer. The procession goes around different roads and ends at the same place. After that, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Social Service Officer Afroza Begum and chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Md Saiful Islam.
Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Jannat Sultana gave a welcome speech, while others spoke, Bijaynagar Upazila Press Club President SM Kamrul Hasan Shanto, Upazila Youth Development Officer Mostafizur Rahman Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury Vidyaniketan Principal Teacher Rezaul Amin.
On this occasion, the head of various departments of the upazila, joint general secretary of Bijaynagar Upazila Press Club Hira Ahmed Zakir, department secretary Md. Shahnewaz Shah, senior journalists Jihadul Haque, Md. Shamsul Islam Liton, Shamim Usman and teachers and students of various educational institutions were present.
