Muradnagar upazila administration and various political and cultural organizations celebrated the 52nd Great Victory Day with due dignity and colorful arrangements.
As soon as the sun rose in the morning on Saturday, the Great Victory Day program was started by firing 31 cannons at the Muradnagar Upazila Parishad Chatter.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishore, New Upazila Executive Officer Abdus Samad Shikdar, Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Nasreen Sultana Nipa, Additional Superintendent of Police (Muradnagar Circle) Piyush Chandra Das prayed for the souls of the martyrs by laying wreaths at the Muradnagar Central Memorial at 6:40 am. , President of Comilla North District A’League. Ruhul Amin, Upazila A-League and various organs and allied organizations, officials of all offices and cultural organizations of the upazila, people from all walks of life.
At 8 am, the national flag was hoisted along with the national anthem by the upazila arts organization on the ground stage of Muradnagar DR Pilot Government High School. During this time, assembly, parade, reception of greetings, physical exercise demonstration were held with the participation of students of various educational institutions including Muradnagar Thana Police, BNCC, Ansar VDP, Fire Service and Civil Defense, Rover Scout. At 11 o’clock in the Upazila Parishad, the brave freedom fighters were honored.
Upazila Health Officer Dr. Enamul Haque, Family Planning Officer Mizanur Rahman, Animal Resources Officer Mohammad Ali, Social Service Officer Barun Dey, Muradnagar Police Station (OC) Prabhas Chandra Dhar, Bangra Bazar Police Station (OC) Kamruzzaman Talukdar, Upazila A League President Ed Abul Kalam Azad, Zilla Parishad Member Monirul Alam Dipu, Mumtaz Begum, UP Chairman Zakir Hossain (VP), Shuklal Debnath, Golam Kibria Khokon, Kamal Uddin Khandkar, UP Secretary Chandan Kumar Saha, Zakir Hossain, Mozammel Haque, Primary All officers and political leaders including Central General Secretary of Teachers Association Gaziul Haque Chowdhury and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Sufi Ahmed were present. At the end of the parade and physical exercise demonstration, prizes were distributed among the winners and participants.
Also, special prayer and prayers are offered in all religious places of worship for the salvation of the souls of the martyrs. High quality food is served in sports, hospitals and orphanages.
