Car tire inflation machine explodes1 dead 2 injured

A man named Jamshed Alam died in a car tire inflation machine explosion in Comilla. Two more people were injured during the explosion. The shop was also blown away.

The accident occurred at Jamshed Alam’s garage in Aganagar area adjacent to the petrol pump in Burichang Upazila Sadar of the district on Wednesday (April 2). Jamshed was the owner of the garage.
The deceased Jamshed (50) is the son of Rahmat Ali of Aganagar village in Sholanal union of the upazila. The injured are – Md. Mohsin (38), son of Abdul Sobhan of Kharataiya Gazipur village, and Md. Shah Alam (40), son of Rabban Bhuiyan of Burichang Noapara village.

Locals said that the shop owner Jamshed Alam was loading air into the inflation machine to inflate the car tires. At one point, the air machine exploded with a loud noise and the shop was blown away. Jamshed Alam, Mohsin and Shah Alam, who were inside the shop, were injured. Locals rescued them and took them to Burichang Upazila Government Hospital, where the doctor declared Jamshed Alam dead.

Burichang Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azizul Haque said that one person died in the air machine explosion. The two injured are being treated at the hospital.
