Hafizur Rahman, Ward No. 28, Lalbagh, Dhaka South City Corporation. In this regard, Kazi Md. Hafizur Rahman of Ward No. 28, Lalbagh, said, on 25/01/2025, he called me and both the boy and girl came to my office with witnesses between approximately 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. My assistant, Mao: Habibur Rahman, performed the marriage in the presence of both witnesses and with their consent. When Naushad Jahan Mim was questioned about his family members, Mim said that I am of full age, so I am capable of fulfilling my duties myself. Upon investigation, it was learned that on 17/02/2025, 21 days after the marriage, the New Market Police Station police came to the house of MA Bashed Babu, son of the deceased Bakaullah, resident of Sang 97/3 Afsar Uddin Road, Para Dagai, Demra Police Station area and arrested MA Bashed Babu and his wife Naushad Jahan Mim at approximately 6:00 PM. And the police officer MA Bashed Babu told other members of the house that we came from New Market Police Station, you should contact New Market Police Station, there is a case against them. Later, after searching, it was found that the case of New Market Police Station No. 08, dated 17/02/2025, Section-Women and Children Repression Prevention Act -2000 (Sang/2020) was filed on 7/8/30. In this regard, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of New Market Police Station Md. Mohsin said on the phone about the case, I know that as per the plaintiff’s claim, the case is currently under investigation. After the investigation, we will submit the investigation report to the court.
The plaintiff in the case Md. Alamgir Hossain said on the phone, after the daughter left the house, I, my wife, one of my daughters, and a total of five people including the girl stayed in that house from 11:00 pm to 12:00 am and I did not file any GD or complaint with the police station. After that, I went several times but the boy’s side could not show us any Kabinnama. Later, the plaintiff Md. Alamgir Hossain further said that they killed my daughter at home, due to which my daughter is very sick, I am taking her to the medical treatment. You talked to my younger daughter, then Mim’s younger sister took the phone from her father and said that my sister could have been married to Bashed Babu, but after the beer, my father complained to the police station because the son’s elder sister raised her hand on my sister. Saiful, went to Lalbagh and after meeting my brother, a total of (six) people including my brother’s lover Naushad Jahan Mim went to the Qazi office and my brother told us the details. After knowing the whole incident, we put a stop to the marriage but my brother and his lover Naushad Jahan Mim requested us a lot to complete their marriage. Later, we were present and completed my brother’s marriage and brought them home. And they are living a very good life. Later, my sister-in-law demanded a flat in our ancestral house. We convinced the other brothers and sisters and the mother and were given a separate flat for the happiness of the brother-in-law. Later, suddenly on 17/02/2025, the Newmarket police station came and arrested my brother and sister-in-law and a kidnapping case was filed against a total of five of us, including my brother. My brother is in jail and my sister-in-law is with her father and we are homeless due to a case against our family members. We demand proper justice from the law enforcement agencies and the Bangladesh government in this false and harassing case.
