Saddam Hossain Ghani, Feni Correspondent: 3 December 2024 District BNP held a protest rally and procession in Feni to protest against the vandalism of the office of the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Agartala and the insulting of the national flag by Indian extremist Hindutva activists.
A protest rally was held in front of the city’s central Jama Masjid on Tuesday afternoon.
The rally, chaired by District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar and moderated by Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal, was attended by speakers who strongly criticized India’s aggression.
At this time, District BNP Joint Convener Anwar Patwari said that Sheikh Hasina is conspiring in India to destroy the coexistence of Hindus and Muslims in Bangladesh. The extremist Hindus are inciting by coming to the Bilonia border. Nothing is excessive. He also said that Hindus and Muslims in Bangladesh are in a bond of harmony. Our traditional brothers have also taken to the field to protest the hardline Hindutva activists of India.
After the rally, a protest procession was taken out in the city. The procession ended by circling the city’s Big Khejur Chattar, Model Thana, Shaheed Minar, and Trunk Road. Leaders from various levels of the district and upazila were present at the time.
