Konabari Thana BNP has held a protest march in various parts of the country to protest against women’s torture, murder, rape, terrorism, extortion, robbery and anarchy.
The program was organized at 3 pm on Friday (February 28) at the initiative of Konabari Thana BNP General Secretary Babul Hossain. Thousands of BNP leaders and activists and local residents participated in it.
The protest march started from Gate No. 1 of BSCIC Industrial City and ended at the same place after circling the Dhaka-Tangail highway. At the end of the march, BNP leaders announced a strict stand against terrorism and extortion in a short rally.
 At the rally, BNP General Secretary of Konabari Thana Babul Hossain said, “In the last 15 years, the Sheikh Hasina government has brought the country to the brink of destruction. Under the leadership of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, we are waging a movement to restore democracy. We will stand up against Awami League cronies and establish the rights of the people. No one will be able to extort in Konabari area. If anyone does extort, we will mount a strong resistance against them.”
BNP leaders said that the law and order situation in the country has deteriorated drastically due to the failure of the current government. The safety of the common people is under threat today. They demanded that effective measures be taken to curb crime quickly and announced a larger movement in the future.
BNP leaders and activists from different levels were present at the protest march and rally.
