A BNP leader held a press conference in Nalchiti of Jhalkathi demanding the central and district BNP leaders to get back the suspended posts. Kushangal Union BNP general secretary (recently suspended) Moshakil Howladar made this demand at a press conference at Nalchiti Press Club at 11 am on Monday. Union BNP leaders and activists were present at the press conference.
 He is general secretary of upazila BNP in the press conference. Salim also accused Gazi of demanding Tk 25,000. This BNP leader also claimed that his post was suspended due to non-payment of this money. However, he could not show any proof in this regard.
In the press conference, Kushangal Union BNP post general secretary (post suspended) Shakeel Howladar claimed that he has been associated with BNP politics since 1990. During the fascist Awami League government, he was also subjected to torture in various ways. Yet he never left the party.
He stood by the leaders and activists during the difficult times of the party. After the resignation of Sheikh Hasina on August 5, the scenario changed. BNP leaders and activists are united under the leadership of Shakil Howladar in Kushangal Union. A group started a conspiracy against him.
 He is a shareholder of Seva Clinic in Nalchiti city as well as politics. Recently Nalchiti Upazila BNP general secretary. Salim Gazi went to his clinic and demanded a contribution of 25 thousand taka. Later on the phone, he pressured to pay the subscription. As he did not agree to this, he was threatened to see how he stays in the party post.
 A few days ago, when the water supply work started in Manpasha market, a few activists including Shahid and Khokon, led by former leader of Jubo League and now leader of Jubo Dal, Dulal Khan, went there and demanded 5% contribution from the contractor. After learning about the matter, he (Shakil Howladar) announced to fight the extortionists along with the local people for the sake of the development of the area. Some activists including Dulal Khan got angry and threatened to expel him from the party.
On the night of August 31, Nalchiti Upazila BNP President Anisur Rahman Khan Helal and General Secretary Md. In a letter signed by Salim Gazi, Kushangal Union ordered the suspension of all membership posts including the post of general secretary of BNP on the charge of breaking party discipline.
Shakil Howladar said, I protested against the extortionists to protect the discipline of the party. On the contrary, my post was suspended. My post was suspended mainly because I spoke out against extortionists and did not pay money to Upazila BNP General Secretary Salim Ghazi.
 I am making a strong demand to the central and district BNP leaders to return my post and conduct a fair investigation into the whole incident.
In this regard, Nalchiti Upazila BNP general secretary Salim Gazi said, “There is a conspiracy against me.” I have never demanded a subscription from anyone. Find out from other shareholders of Seva Clinic whether I have asked for subscription. My reputation is being tarnished with a false allegation. His post was suspended due to allegations of violation of party discipline. Here are the signatures of Upazila BNP President and General Secretary. But the press conference was held against me, which proves that it is motivated.
