On the initiative of UNO Rahul Chand in Rajapur upazila of Jhalokati district on Thursday afternoon on 24th October 2024 organized a discussion meeting with the officials of national and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in his office upazila. Officials of various NGOs discussed their ongoing programs in the meeting. The convener of the upazila executive officer told everyone that Rajapur upazila should be kept clean, mosquito control measures should be taken, encroachment should be cleared by digging canals and birth registration of all living persons should be ensured, because in order to get the death certificate of a deceased person, birth must be done first. It is very important to register the birth while you are still alive. In order to implement these works, I sincerely request the cooperation of all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and upazila social service offices, youth development directorate, women affairs directorate and registered voluntary organizations of cooperative directorate in Rajapur upazila. UNO Rahul Chand is helping more especially for the purpose of birth registration. In this regard, he also said that while registering the birth, I will keep an eye on ensuring that common people are not harassed. I am ready to work on registration matters even on Fridays and Saturdays. In the meeting, NGO officials promised to cooperate in these activities of UNO. Upazila Social Service Officer Mozammel Hossain, Youth Development Officer Sanjib Chandra, JICA Officer Imran Hossain, Upazila NGO Coordinator and Executive Director of Saido Syed Hossain Ahmed Kamal and Journalist Alamgir Sharif and Executive Member of Rajapur Press Club Md Kamrul Hasan Rana were present.
