Biplob was a police source and was arrested by Ansar at the airport 5 years ago while trying to extort money. He did not have any business or job, but spent 1 lakh taka per month and started working by booking 2 flats of 1600 square feet, which are worth about 1 crore 20 lakh taka. This extortionist named journalist is roaming around the Narcotics Control Department, Ansar’s office and jails by introducing himself as a journalist. During the last Sairachar government, he formed an organization called ‘Smart Drug Prevention of Bangladesh’ and turned it into a father-son organization, and could not bring anyone except his son with him to any event. The investigation revealed that in 2021, he was the general secretary of the Swadhin Bangla Anti-Drug Welfare Society, who was the general secretary of the organization, and was expelled from various organizations, including the Awami League councilor, MP police station president, and general secretary, on charges of extortion. A written complaint was filed against him at the Police Commissioner’s Office and the DC’s Office. A general diary was filed at Jatrabari police station.
Biplob verbally introduced himself as a person from the Narcotics Control Department and the Ansar Department. He openly said that if he wanted to work in the Narcotics Control Department, he could turn the lives of many officials and employees upside down. If anyone needed any facilities in the prison, he said that he would do it. Under the banner of the Smart Drug Prevention Organization, he distributed khichuri among street children on 32nd of Dhanmondi and 15th of August to please the murderer Hasina, and he joined all the activities announced by the autocrats, including paying homage at the shrine of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Gopalganj. In the past few days, despite taking full advantage of the opportunities, he has mistakenly disguised himself as a neo-BNP and claimed to be from Barura, although his home is Narail. Investigations have revealed that during the tenure of the previous government, the founder and president of the Swadhin Bangla Anti-Drug Welfare Society was harassed by making applications for various departments by posing as a drug, prison and Ansar worker and creating a BNP cadre. Currently, that same revolution is posing as a person close to the Additional Director of Narcotics and Director General, which is misleading for the Narcotics Control Department.
When talking to several officials of the Narcotics Control Department about him, it was learned that he has blackmailed many people in the department by posing as a journalist. He has been creating distance between one officer and another officer and lobbying for the transfer of many, which many are embarrassed about. Many officials who do not want to be named do not like him, but he comes unnecessarily and misleads many. We want such bad people not to be allowed to enter the department. We want to see our department free from brokers like Biplob, I hope DG Sir will take the matter into consideration and take appropriate action against him. While talking to the accused Biplob, he said that I work with Narcotics Ansar and Jails. In response to the question of who gave you permission, he said that I do not need any permission. In response to the question of what is your source of income, he said that I run an organization, many people donate to me and I get some money from Narcotics, District Office and Ansar offices. This Biplob was a close associate of Wari Zone DC Iqbal, who is responsible for the murder of Hasina. During the 2024 student movement, this murderer Biplob used to provide information about BNP Jamaat to the police, RAB, Ansar and intelligence agencies, so there is a demand everywhere that he should be arrested quickly and brought under the law. And people from all walks of life hope that the concerned authorities will take appropriate action so that this fraudster cannot sell the name of Narcotics Ansar and District Office and do business.
