Rishad Hossain got a team in Big Bash League (BBL). He will be the second Bangladeshi to play in Australia’s franchise cricket competition. This young Bangladeshi legspinner has been recruited by Hobart Hurricanes.
The KFC BBL and WBBL drafts were held in Sydney this Saturday. Rishad’s name came in the fourth round there. Rishad will be accompanied by the legendary Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting while playing in this league. Because, Ponting is in charge of the head of strategy of Hobart, a team in the state of Tasmania, Australia.
Before this, only Shakib Al Hasan went to play from Bangladesh in the Big Bash League.
Rishad has caught the attention of world cricket since his debut against Afghanistan. He showed surprise in the last T20 World Cup with Kushli Ball.
Rishad has taken 29 wickets in 24 T20 Internationals. Economy 7.36. The right-hander is trying to establish himself as the main weapon of Bangladesh’s bowling attack in the leggy T20.
The Big Bash will start on December 15 and continue till January 27. BPLO is supposed to be at the same time. Besides, the Bangladesh team is scheduled to tour the West Indies in November. It is not yet certain whether Rishad will be able to play in the Big Bash due to the busyness of the national team and the domestic league.
