Before announcing next election schedule inauguration of Akhaura-Agartala railway line

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said that the Akhaura-Agartala railway construction work is nearing completion. If the work is completed by June this year, the Prime Minister of the two countries will inaugurate the project in September. He said, ‘Election schedule. Since big projects cannot be inaugurated after the announcement, it will be done earlier.
He said this in response to questions from reporters while inspecting the Akhaura-Agartala railway project on Wednesday afternoon. He said, ‘trial operation will be done after one year of construction. Although this railway was built in dual gauge, initially it will run in meter gauge. Because there are still meter gauges in Bangladesh.’
In response to a question, he said that the entire railway of Bangladesh will be brought under dual gauge. Construction of dual gauge railway from Dhaka to Akhaura will be started soon.’
