Joypurhat Correspondent:
A human chain and protest program has been held in Joypurhat for 3-point demands including the rehabilitation and reinstatement of all BDR members and families who were dismissed from service across the country, including Peelkhana, who was a victim of the conspiracy of fascist Sheikh Hasina, and the release of innocent BDR members who are in jail.
This hour-long program was held at 11:30 am at the city’s Zero Point by dismissed BDRs, jailed BDR families and the BDR Welfare Council.
Joypurhat Judge Court Advocate Abdul Momin Fakir, Joypurhat Anti-Discrimination Movement student representative Hasibul Islam Sanjid, BDR Naib Subedar Nurul Islam, Habildar Bir Muktijoddha Abed Hossain and Md. Noman, son of imprisoned BDR Rezaul Karim, spoke at the event.
The speakers at the human chain demanded that the true facts of the Peelkhana massacre be revealed through an independent investigation commission and the culprits be punished.
