Mohammad Masud Majumdar: A week-long program of distributing 10,000 fruit tree saplings among the students of various educational institutions has been completed in Barura, Comilla.
Amratali High School, Shaherbanu Ideal School and College, Amratali Government Primary School, Purba Nalua Government Primary School, Jayakamta Government Primary School, Digalgao Government Primary School, Shilmuri, were organized by Amratali Late Abu Taher Smriti Foundation of Barura Upazila from Monday 25th November to Tuesday 3rd December. Government Primary School, Manohara Government Primary School, Falkamuri Government Primary School, Lagansar Government Primary School, Lagansar Dakhil 10,000 fruit tree saplings have been distributed among the students of various educational institutions of Shilmuri North and South Union including madrasas. Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Emong Marma Mong was present as the chief guest in the opening ceremony. The founder director of the late Abu Taher Foundation, Abu Sayem, was also present in the management of Barura National Bank Manager Mazharul Islam Liton, former president of Amratali C Ali High School Management Committee Md Shah Alam Babul, Shaherbanu Ideal School and College Principal Md Rezaul Karim Mazumdar, Amratali High School Principal. Teacher Dilip Chandra Ghosh, Amratali Government Primary School Principal Md Soleman Mia, Samaj Sevak Golam Mawla Badal, Abul Bashar along with heads of various educational institutions, teachers and other persons were present.
During the distribution of the saplings, the founding director of the late Abu Taher Smriti Foundation, Md. Abu Sayem, said that in the name of my father, this foundation had promised to distribute 10,000 fruit tree saplings to the students of various educational institutions this year. Thousands of fruit tree seedlings were distributed.
Also, the late Abu Taher Foundation said that every year, social and service activities including providing scholarships to the students of various educational institutions, distribution of educational materials, distribution of various materials to mosque madrasas, distribution of clothes to students, food and financial support to the needy people will continue.
