Mohammad Masud Majumdar: A preparatory meeting was held in Barura, Comilla on the occasion of the Great Martyr Intellectual Day on 14 December and Great Victory Day 2024 on 16 December.

Zahidul Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Nasrin Sultana Tanu, DGM of Barura Palli Vidyut Samiti were present in the meeting chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Emong Marma Mong on Wednesday morning at 11 am. Jalal Uddin, Barura police station officer in charge Kazi Nazmul Haque, upazila youth development officer Md Borhan Uddin Bhuiya, Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Afroza Begum, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Nasima Akhtar, Barura Upazila Former Freedom Fighter Sangsad Command Hero Freedom Fighter Shamsul Haque Sardar, Hero Freedom Fighter Abdus Sattar. Barura Upazila Education Officer Md. Tariqul Islam, Barura Bazar Traders Committee General Secretary Md. Salim Jahangir, Barura Upazila BNP Vice President and former UP Chairman Md. Rezaul Haque Reju, Barura Upazila Jamaat Islami Ameer Md. Shahadat Hossain, Barura Press Club General Secretary Journalist Md. Ilyas Ahmed, Barura Haji Nawab Ali Pilot High School Headmaster Md Medhad Uddin and others.
During the meeting, it was decided to hold a rally for the participation of brave freedom fighters on Barura Invader’s Freedom Day on December 7, pay tribute and discuss with flowers at Shaheed Minar, discuss meeting on the occasion of celebrating Martyrs’ Intellectual Day on December 14, and fire 31 gunshots at sunrise on December 16 at the beginning of Great Victory Day. After 6.30 a.m. wreath laying at Upazila Central Shaheed Minar, 8 a.m. The national flag will be hoisted at the upazila parishad square with the participation of police, Ansar, BNCC, scouts. At 11 a.m., a reception and discussion meeting will be held for the family of martyred freedom fighters and brave freedom fighters in the Parishad Auditorium. Prayers and prayers will be held at mosques, temples and religious places of worship to seek forgiveness for the souls of martyrs at auspicious times. In the afternoon a friendly football match will be held with the participation of administration vs. Sudheejans.
