Comilla Barura in on Thursday 22 June under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Land and Executive Magistrate Md. Moin Uddin, mobile court was conducted in different places of Barura Upazila. During this time food, food preparation activities were inspected in various hotels, restaurants and bakeries. Offenses related to food quality, proper storage of food, sale without expiration date and expiration date, violation of laws in hotels, restaurants and bakeries are taken into account.
At that time, according to the relevant provisions of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009, a total of 20,000/-(twenty thousand Taka) fine was paid to 2 companies. Besides, a case is regularly filed against an organization.
Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Moin Uddin managed the mobile court. Mr. Yamin Hasan, Assistant Director of Safe Food Directorate, Comilla District Office gave the prosecution. The mobile court was assisted by the police force of Barura police station.
