The 43rd founding anniversary of AB Bank PLC was celebrated in Barura, Comilla. In the light of this theme, “May this glorious chapter of 43 years be further enriched by the bond of trust and confidence, let us move forward towards new horizons,” the event was held on Sunday 13 April at 9:30 am at AB Bank PLC Barura Sub-Branch (Hyder Mansion, 2nd Floor, Barura Paschim Bazar) with the Bank’s Manager and Assistant Vice President Md. Moslem Uddin Ahmed in the chair, and Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi and Executive Magistrate Umme Muslima as the chief guests.
The chief guests were Md. Iqbal Hossain, Manager of Sonali Bank PLC Barura Branch, Md. Abul Hossain, Associate Professor of Barura Shaheed Smriti Government College. The special guests were Dr. Md. Mohi Uddin, Medical Officer of Barura Medinova Hospital, Md. Masud Majumder, Assistant Professor of Jhalom High School and College, Md. Ilias Ahmed, General Secretary of Barura Press Club, Md. Taslima Akhter, Editor and Publisher of Daily Barura Konth, Md. Farukul Islam, Former BCIC Officer, Md. Ikramul Haque, General Secretary of Barura Upazila Press Club, Kazi Momin Ullah Bhuiyan, Journalist Md. Azizur Rahman, Retired Senior Teacher of Arjuntola Government Primary School, Kajal Rani Pal, Saudi Arabia expatriate and perpetual young social worker Haji Md. Mamun, Rubel Hossain, Shakil Hossain, Junaid Hossain, Maruf Hossain. Also present at the event were AB Bank PLC Barura Sub-Branch Cash Officer Md. Iqbal Hossain, Junior Officers Md. Sharif Uddin and Sharif Uddin Bhuiyan, Sajedul Islam and others.
At the beginning of the event, prayers and supplications were offered to the founder, chairman, board of directors, and all officers of AB Bank, wishing them good health, well-wishers, general customers, and expatriate remittance warriors and the bank’s continued prosperity. The event ended with the cutting of a cake.
