December is the month of victory. On the occasion of Victory Day on December 16, the industrial and commercial affairs secretary of the North Metropolitan Awami League of the capital and the popular leader as an MP candidate for Dhaka 18 constituency in the upcoming 12th National Parliament election, Khosru Chowdhury, greeted the people of all levels of the 18 constituencies.
MP candidate Khosru Chowdhury said in a congratulatory message to Daily Present Time, Awami League has contributed to all the glorious achievements of the country. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu, the Bengali nation got the undisputed leadership of the war of independence. This nation has got the light to walk on the path of liberation.
Happy Victory Day to all citizens of the city. On this day in 1971, the Pakistani invaders were defeated and independence was achieved. Millions of martyrs sacrificed themselves for this victory. We have deep respect for them.
Victory Day is a glorious day for us. This day reminds us how we earned our freedom. This day teaches us about patriotism and unity. On this day we all remember the glory of our victory and pay tribute to the martyrs. We all work to move the country forward.
He also said, Our great freedom was achieved on December 16, 1971 at the cost of millions of lives in nine months of bloody struggle. I can firmly say that today we got a country called independent Bangladesh because of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh Awami League. On the day of victory, I wish the souls of all the martyred freedom fighters to rest in peace.
He also said that the history of Bangladesh is witnessing the progress of the development by the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the privileged daughter of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Where everyone has turned away after hearing about the Padma Bridge. But my leader honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has shown that it is possible. That is Sheikh Hasina. All have faith in the Prime Minister and also in Bangladesh Awami League.
