Awami League-BNP will hold a rally in the capital Dhaka. BNP got permission for mass meeting in Nayapaltan on Friday (July 28). And the three organizations of Awami League will hold a rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram. However, 23 conditions have been added for this.
These conditions were mentioned in a written memorandum signed by Special Assistant Syed Mamun Mustafa on behalf of the DMP Commissioner on Thursday (July 27).
Meanwhile, BNP can hold a rally in front of the party office in Nayapaltan (between Police Hospital Crossing and Nightingale Crossing). This rally can be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. Jubo League, Volunteer League and Chhatra League will be able to rally at the south gate of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.
The terms of DMP state-
1. This permit is not a permission to use the space, permission must be obtained from the concerned authorities for using the space.
2. The terms and conditions specified in the space use permit must be duly observed.
3. All activities of mass gatherings should be restricted to authorized places (between Police Hospital and Nightingale Junction).
4. Under no circumstances shall any public gathering be held outside the authorized premises.
5. Adequate number of volunteers (with visible ID cards) should be recruited under own management for security.
6. According to the instructions of the local police administration, high-resolution CCTV cameras should be installed around the gathering place under its own management.
7. Under its own management, those arriving at the conclave will have to be checked through hand metal detectors.
8. Fire extinguishing system should be kept in the mass meeting place under own management.
9. Microphones must be used in a limited manner to prevent noise pollution, and in no case should microphones be used outside of approved locations.
10. Projectors may not be installed outside of approved locations.
11. Mic cannot be used during Azan, Namaz and other religiously sensitive times.
12. Caricatures, speeches or propaganda on any subject likely to hurt religious sentiments shall not be allowed.
13. The stage shall not be used for any purpose other than the proceedings of the mass meeting.
14. People can come to assemble two hours before the start of the assembly.
15. Within the allotted time (2 pm to 5 pm) the entire proceedings of the Mahasambesh should be completed.
16. Under no circumstances should traffic obstruction be created on the main road.
17. Activities that disturb the law and order situation and public safety cannot be done.
18. No activity or speech against the state can be given.
19. Provocative speech or distribution of leaflets shall not be permitted.
20. Sticks, rods cannot be used for carrying any kind of sticks, banners, festoons.
21. The organizing authority will not be responsible for the breakdown of law and order and any untoward situation.
22. Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in immediate cancellation of this permission order.
23. The Authority reserves the right to cancel this permission order without assigning any reason in public interest.
