A preparatory meeting was held at the Bijayanagar Upazila Parishad Conference Room to celebrate the autumn Durga Puja peacefully this year.
This preparatory meeting was held on the initiative of the upazila administration on Monday afternoon, September 30, with the participation of the president, general secretary and upazila puja celebration council leaders of the 44 puja mandapams of the upazila.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md Saiful Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Md Mozaharul Haque, President of Bijaynagar Upazila Press Club SM Kamrul Hasan Shanto, Upazila Freedom Fighters Former Command Md Dabir Uddin Bhuiyan, Upazila BNP convener Md Mohsin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Upazila Puja Utyapan were present. President of the Parishad Ashok Kumar Bhowmik along with heads of various departments, various public representatives, social and political personalities.
In the preparatory meeting, various issues were discussed in detail for the smooth celebration of the puja this year.
This year Durga Puja will be celebrated in 44 mandaps in Bijayanagar, according to sources. Among them Budhanti 13, Chandura 13, Ichapura 03, Harshpur 10, Paharpur 01, Champaknagar 02, Pattan 01 and Charaislampur 01 mandap.
