Auto rickshaw stopped at Teknaf Sadar and abducted two fishmongers at gunpoint

Mohammad Aman Ullah: Miscreants abducted two fish merchants at gunpoint after stopping an autorickshaw at Teknaf Sadar in Cox’s Bazar. After getting information about the incident, the police is conducting a rescue operation . Last Monday at 11 a.m., the incident took place in Lengurbil Mathpara of Sadar Union of Teknaf Upazila, said the OC of Teknaf Police Station, Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin. However, although he could not immediately confirm the name and identity of the abducted, he said that they were local fishmongers of Teknaf. According to eyewitnesses and locals of the incident, OC Gias Uddin said that last Monday morning, they were going to Shamlapur in Baharchhara Union via Sonar Para-Teknaf LGD road from Teknaf upazila headquarters in an auto-rickshaw. Two fishmongers were kidnapped. At that time there was another passenger with them in the car. When the car reached Lengurbil field of Teknaf Sadar Union, 5/6 miscreants stopped it. The OC said, later they dragged the two people in the car at gunpoint. Meanwhile, the miscreants released the other passenger in the car after taking him some distance.

At the time of the incident, a local resident of Langurbil Mathpara of Teknaf Sadar Union was staying some distance away from the scene. He witnessed the incident with his own eyes. On the condition of not revealing his name for the sake of safety, he said, he was staying a little away from the scene at the time of the incident. At that time, he saw the miscreants taking away two persons at gunpoint. In this, he tactfully captured a video image of the incident on his mobile phone. Later he reported the matter to the police. The eyewitness said that the miscreants involved in the incident are local residents. They are Mujib Ullah and Shaukat Ullah, sons of Kabir Ahmad, residents of Lengurbil Mathpara of Teknaf Sadar Union, Md Shahid, son of Mohammad Kabir of Lambri area, Md Hashim, son of Nuru Salam of Nawa Pallan Para, and Md Nayan, son of Nazir Ahmed of Hatyarghona area. The police said that they are not sure what happened. OC Gias Uddin He said that after receiving the information about the incident, a police team visited the spot. The police are conducting an operation to identify those involved in the incident and arrest them and rescue the abductees.
