The half-decomposed body of an auto driver named Mizan Hawlader (28) who went missing in Jhalakathi’s Nalchiti after 22 days has been recovered.
The body was recovered from the Rayapur Battala area of ​​Magar Union of the upazila on Thursday afternoon. The matter was confirmed by Ashraf Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC-Investigation) of Nalchiti Police Station.
The deceased Mizan Hawlader is the son of Abdul Salam Hawlader of that area.
Auto rickshaw owner Syed Abul Kalam said, Mizan used to drive my car on rent. He went out with the car on the afternoon of January 29 and did not return home that night. He did not return home again. He was not found despite searching at various places, including the houses of relatives. Today at noon, a person went to cut grass and found his body. Later, local people came and identified him by looking at the clothes he was wearing.
OC Investigation Ashraf Ali said that the body will be recovered and sent for autopsy. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
