An attempt to build a paved building in defiance of the court ban, the incident took place in Shuhri Nijchar village of ward number 1 of Golkhali union of Galachipa district of Patuakhali.
According to the source of the case, on July 7, due to a dispute over 1.32 hundred acres of land in District No. 21 CS, No. 11 Khatian, No. 142, Md. Shamim Molla (35), son of Khalek Molla, resident of Shuhri Nijchar village of Golkhali Union of Galachipa Upazila, died. On 10th July 2024 Galachipa filed a case in the learned Executive Magistrate’s Court bearing MP, No. 328/2024 by unknown 8/10 accused including 6 persons.
The named accused are residents of Ward No. 5 of Daqua Union of the same upazila. Deceased: Md. Mostafa Gazi, son of Arman Gazi, Md. Jalal Gazi, Anwar Gazi, Hai Gazi and Shuhri II Cond Gran of Golkhali Union. Father: son of deceased Abul Hossain Akon. Haroon and Md. Habib Akon.
The learned court on 10th July 2024 issued a restraining order to both the parties to maintain peace and order in the above scheduled property till next date of appearance on 6th November 2024 as per Code of Criminal Procedure 144/45.
In defiance of the prohibition, the defendants along with the organized miscreants attempted to construct a paved building on the property of plot No. 142 mentioned above in the wee hours of Saturday 13th July last. At that time, the plaintiff Shamim informed the matter to Galachipa police station. Later, a police officer went to the spot and stopped the construction of the building on the property.
