There are 4 artisans in the Lep Toshak manufacturing village established at M/s Kahinu’s Bedding and Basra Bitan of Thana Red, Amtali city.

In this, as a wage per Lep Toshak, their fortunes are on an average of Rs. Alamin, Saimun Hoson, Rasidul, Nanna, the craftsmen of making Lep Toshak, said that depending on the size and type, the cost of making Lep Toshak is from 1,600 to 35,000 Tk. Due to the increase in wages, cotton and other materials used in making the mattress, the price of the mattress has increased by an average of 400 rupees.
Md. Chagirullah Bashir, Proprietor of Amtali Messrs. Kohinoor Bedding and Linen Bitan, said that in the present market, single bed sheets made of garment jute are sold at Tk 600 to Tk 1,000 and double bed sheets are sold at Tk 1,500 to Tk 1,300 depending on the size. Last year Shimul cotton was Tk 350/400 per kg, this year it is selling at Tk 400/500. Garment Jhoot was sold at Tk 40/70 per kg last year (Toshak) but now it is being sold at Tk 60/100, Toshak seller Ramzan Ali said. Other cotton also increased by Tk 100/120 to Tk 150/300 per kg, the sellers said.
He also said that the price of everything is higher this year than last year, so we have to buy at a higher price. Due to the increase in the price of all types of materials for making this bedding. We also have to sell at higher prices and pay higher wages to the artisans.
