Army’s 33 Infantry Division distributed tin and cash among the flood victims in Comilla.

Tin and cash were distributed among 40 families in Burburia Beribandh area of ​​Sholanal Union of Comilla Burichong Upazila on Tuesday (October 1) morning. As per the previous list, flood victims gathered in their area in the morning. At this time, GOC Major General Mohammad Jahangir Alam of 33 Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army appeared in Burburia area and gave cash and tin to the needy.

At this time, he spoke to the victims about the damage caused by the flood. Receiving tin and cash from the army brought a smile on the faces of the destitute people who lost their houses in the flood.

Julekha Begum of Burburia’s Badh Bhagkar area told the Present Times reporter, ‘My sons and daughters are very small. There is no such person who will help me. Sometimes I work from home. The flood has wiped me out. Everyone gives food. But today I received tin and money from the army. I will pray a lot for the stars of the army. That is benefiting us at this time.’

Nazrul Islam, a tea shopkeeper of Kharataia village of Sholanal Union of Burichong Upazila, told Daily Present Times reporter, ‘My house and cropland have been destroyed in the flood. I am now living a poor life with my family. The army was by our side from the beginning. Today I received the bill and cash from the army to build the house. Now I have a chance to start life again.’
