Staff Reporter: Some branches of banks in the garment industry areas of Dhaka Metropolitan City, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj and Chittagong will remain open today.
Earlier, on Friday, bank branches in these areas were open from 10 am to 3 pm. However, transactions will be conducted from 10 am to 12 pm, and post-transaction activities will be conducted during the rest of the time.
Today, Saturday, bank branches in the industrial area will be open from 10 am to 2 pm. During this period, transactions will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm. It has been asked to ensure adequate security in the branches that will be open. In addition, Bangladesh Bank has directed to provide allowances to officers and employees performing duties on holidays as per the rules.
