APBN sub-inspector and wife arrested along with 20,000 Yabas in Cox’s Bazar

Narcotics Control Directorate has arrested a sub-inspector of Amord Police Battalion (APBN) and his wife along with 20,000 Yabas in Cox’s Bazar. Last Friday (May 20), they were arrested from the Kalatali Green Line counter in the city at around 10 pm. The arrested persons are Rezaul Karim and his wife Malina Pasha (43), residents of Sameshpur Mandalbari area of Rajapur Union of Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj district. It is known that Rezaul Teknaf Hnila. Working as Sub-Inspector (SI) in APBN camp, engaged in security duty at Alikhali Rohingya camp of the Union. However, no statement was received from the police of 16 APBN. To know about this, the captain of 16 APBN Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG) Hasan Bari Noor tried to contact him, but he was not found. Teknaf Narcotics Control Directorate Deputy Inspector Tuntu Mani Chakma said, Rezaul’s family came to visit Cox’s Bazar. On the way back, some Yaba kept stock. Later, on the basis of secret information, members of Teknaf Narcotics Control Directorate raided the Green Line Counter at Kalatali Dolphin Junction and arrested them. 20,000 Yaba were recovered after searching their bags. Cases are pending against them under relevant laws.
