On June 24 (Monday) in Chittagong’s Sandwip, road meetings and leaflets were distributed about the dangers of drugs. The program was organized jointly by Swadhin Bangla Anti-Narcotics Welfare Society and Sandwip Adhikar Andolan.
Leaflets were distributed among traders and people of all levels in the complex area after the road meeting inside the Upazila Parishad. The leaflet distribution program was inaugurated by Sandwip Upazila Assistant Land Commissioner Tasfiq Sifat Ullah. Sandwip Rights Movement President Md. Hasanuzzaman Sandwip, Swadhin Bangla Anti-Drug Welfare Society Sandwip Committee President Md. Rubel, General Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam, Mohammad Sakil Khan and others spoke at the road meeting.
Among the members of the organization present were Md Zafar Islam, Emdad Hossain, Joydev Kahar, Mehdi Hasan, Arman Hossain Taimul Hossain, Abdur Rahman, Sabbir Mahmud, Md Rafi, Abdul Karim and local dignitaries. Kare said, anti-drug public awareness leaflets and other programs will be ongoing in every Union Para Mahallao school-college in Sandwip.
