A discussion meeting was held in Chapainawabganj District Jail with the aim of creating anti-drug awareness among more than five hundred prisoners detained in drug cases.
On Wednesday (December 08) morning, the District Jail was organized by the District Office of the Narcotics Control Department, and Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Md. Abdus Samad delivered the speech as the chief guest at the discussion meeting at the District Jail.
The discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shariful Islam, Jail Superintendent of Chapainawabganj District Jail. The special guests were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md. Tariqul Islam, Deputy Director of the District Office of the Narcotics Control Department Mohammad Anisur Rahman. Also present were Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the District Jail Anuj Chanda, Medical Officer of the District Jail Hospital Dr. Ahnaf Shahriar. At the beginning, the welcome speech was given and moderated by the District Jail Jailer Zakir Hossain.
The chief guest gave a guiding speech to more than five hundred prisoners detained in drug cases in the district jail and made them recite the anti-drug oath. Later, anti-drug awareness leaflets were distributed among the prisoners by the Narcotics Control Department.
