Anti-discrimination students have launched a fair price vegetable market in New Bazaar Chowrasta area to break the market syndicate in Amtali Upazila of Barguna.

This market was inaugurated yesterday morning. It is known that a class of unscrupulous traders in the market are selling daily essentials at extra cost by syndicate. Amtali upazila anti-discrimination student leader Md. A vegetable market at fair prices has been launched since Sobar morning in New Bazaar Chaurasta Mor area under the leadership of Abdullah. From here, everyone can buy various types of daily necessities including onion, roshan, potato, gourd, gourd greens, bitter gourd, brinjal, green pepper according to their daily needs. Amtali Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Ashraful Alam inaugurated the market at 10 am. In the opening meeting, the special guest spoke in charge of Amtali Police Station. Ariful Islam Among others, Amtali Upazila Samkal representative Md. spoke at the meeting. Zakir Hossain, Kaler Kanth Amtali Representative Hayatuzzaman Miraj, Student Representative Inzamamul Haque Abid, Bellal Hossain, Golam Rabbi, Maiti and Bayezid Hossain Tamim etc.

The meeting was attended by various media workers, political leaders, students and people in favor of the anti-discrimination student movement.

Amtali Upazila Nirbahi Officer said in his speech, I applaud the anti-discrimination students for taking the initiative to open the market at a fair price, considering the suffering of the common people with low income when the businessmen have increased the price of daily necessities by syndicating the market.
