Mukundapur High School, Barura, Comilla held annual scholarship and alumni reunion fair. On Friday 1st December at 10 am, the scholarship examination was held with the participation of about 400 students from various educational institutions of the upazila organized by the former students of the school. At three o’clock in the afternoon, a scholarship awarding and discussion meeting was held in the school premises under the chairmanship of Advocate Mehdi Hasan Sabuj, the president of the school’s alumni council. The president of the school management committee Prof. Dr. Md. Mokhleshur Rahman was the chief guest at the program conducted by the treasurer of the alumni council Md. Tajirul Islam. Principal of the school Md. Moynal Hossain, president of the school’s ex-student council Md. Masud Alam, former president Md. Ruhul Amin, general secretary Md. Motaher Hossain, former student Md. Muhibullah Babul, headmaster of Odda Noapara Government Primary School Kamrun Nahar spoke on the occasion. Md. Nurul Haque, assistant teacher of Jhlam High School and College. Speakers on this day said that due to the lack of awareness in the society today, the social system is facing destruction due to the youth getting addicted to drugs. The implementation of the new education curriculum of the current government has increased the quality of education in addition to the hands-on education of the students. If people from all walks of life come forward, students will not abandon their studies and turn to drugs. He also urged everyone to come forward in their sports and cultural practices along with studies. The speaker said that everyone knows that the children of today are the future of tomorrow, so he requested everyone to pay special attention to children. At the end of the program, scholarships and certificates were awarded to students who received scholarships in talent full and general grades.
