Allegations of attempted eviction of the property purchased in Patuakhali’s Dumki from Vitibari have been received. Radheshyam Sheel Bhuya, son of Dulal Sheel, nephew of deceased Banmali Sheel of Dumki Satani village of Angaria Union of the upazila, is trying to forcibly take over the civil case with the connivance of an influential circle of the area. According to local sources, recordio owner of plot No. 400, 437 and 462 of SA 352 Khatian of JL No. 51 of Dumki Satani Mauza of Upazila, Abdul Latif, son of A. Quader Hawladar of the same area, in ’94, from Banmali Sheel, son of Rajkumar Sheel, in the clear document No. 688. Salim Hung and Anwar Howlader, son of late Asman Howlader of Athargachia Sakin, have bought and occupied 97 percent of the land. The issue has become a headache for the influential Dust Chakra in the area. After the death of the minority donor Banmali Sheel, his brother’s son Dulal Sheel was appointed heir and filed a deed case against Latif Hong Gong in the Patuakhali Civil Court. Which was rejected in the trial. The judgment of the lower court is upheld in the case of appeal to the judge court and re-appeal to the high court against the judgment of the lower court. After losing the High Court case, the gang is taking possession of the property through muscle power. The clique became desperate to dispossess the acquired properties, using local administration and political influence as a tool. They alleged that the victim Latif Hawladar, the owner of the record, the donor of his property, Banmali Sheel, sold the land title deeds to the registry during his lifetime and left for India. After his desertion and death, there is no attempt to dispossess him by harboring a gang of land robbers in the area for nefarious purposes, which they did not do. Despite being defeated by the judgment of the high court, they are still trying to seize power. I demand punishment of the illegal occupiers and look forward to the local administration to protect my occupied property.
