The biggest task now is to bring the July genocide perpetrators and criminals to justice. He said that the July Smriti Foundation is working for the welfare of the martyrs and injured of the July Uprising. Just as the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has taken responsibility for the freedom fighters, it will also take responsibility for the July martyrs. All the martyr families will be given allowances. Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan said this as the chief guest at the meeting and discussion meeting with the families of the martyrs of the July Uprising organized by the district administration at the conference room of the Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner today (26 January). The meeting was chaired by Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Fatema Tul Jannat, members of the martyrs’ families, Director of Rights Nasir Uddin Elan, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Kazi Humayun Rashid, district administration officials, journalists and students of various educational institutions who participated in the July Uprising. Chief Executive Officer of Munshiganj District Council Jhotan Chanda presented the identities and information of 15 martyrs in Munshiganj district in the July Uprising. In the meeting and discussion with the families of the martyrs in the July Uprising, the fathers, mothers and brothers of the martyrs presented various memories of the martyrs and demanded speedy trial of the murderers. At this time, some injured students presented their statements. The advisor visited the ’24 Revolutions’ photo gallery set up in the Deputy Commissioner’s office. After meeting and discussing with the families of the martyrs of the July Uprising, Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan distributed prizes among the runner-up and champion teams participating in various sports competitions on the occasion of the Youth Festival 2025 under the title “Come Change the Country, Change the World” organized by the District Administration and District Sports Office at the Munshiganj Stadium.
