Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Inter-government Ministry of Youth and Sports and Labor and Employment, said that the communal harmony in Satkhira is unbroken. Satkhira district is not what we heard earlier. There is no dearth of communal recentness among people here. People of this district are very peaceful. Although Satkhira was seen differently earlier, it will no longer be. The land and people of Satkhira have long been discriminated against due to dictatorship. Now is the time to move this town forward. He also said that today’s freedom is in exchange for life and blood in the movement of students. So the contribution of Shahid Asif and others should not be forgotten. We should take them as our inspiration. Our martyrs in the discrimination movement are our national heroes and mini stadiums will be built in different upazilas in the name of those martyrs. As part of this, the name of the mini stadium in Debhata upazila will be named as ‘Shahid Asif Stadium’.

On Saturday (12 October) at 8:30 a.m., he said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the exchange ceremony on the occasion of determining the location of the mini stadium at Parulia Secondary School of Debhata Upazila.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Mo Asaduzzaman and Director of Fair Mission Abdul Quader Mohiuddin, Adviser Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Abul Hasan, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Mohiuddin Siddiqui, Parulia UP Chairman Golam Farooq Babu, students spoke at the consensus meeting. Abid Hasan Tanvir and others are members of the movement.

Among others present were Additional Superintendent of Police Sajib Khan Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge of Debhata Police Station Idrisur Rahman, President of Debhata Press Club Mir Khairul Alam, Principal of Haji Kayamuddin Memorial Women’s College Abul Kalam, Acting Principal of Nalta College Abdullah Siddiqui, Executive Editor of Dainik Drishtipat Lecturer Abu Taleb Molya, Principal Nazrul Islam of Parulia Secondary Girls School, Acting Principal of Parulia SS Secondary School Abdur Razzak, Former Principal Abul Hossain, Upazila BNP Member Rajib Hossain Raju, Nawapara Union BNP President Masum Billah, Upazila Matsya Dal General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Bachchu, Upazila Youth Dal Joint convener Rajib Ahmed, Dardi’s founding president Abdullah Al Mamun, current president Sakib Hossain, former general secretary Nasim Hossain including various levels of officials, students.

Meanwhile, after inspecting the mini stadium site, Parulia visited Jeliapara and Gazirhat Puja Mandap. Later, he visited the grave of martyr Asif Hasan and met his family to express his condolences. Later he traveled to Udyosh of Shyamnagar.
