On 23/03/2025 at approximately 22:00 hrs when the victim Shakil Munshi (35) went to the land of his neighbor Palash behind his house, due to a previous enmity, the accused Md. Al Amin Howlader (28) along with other accused armed with country-made weapons randomly hacked the victim, causing bloody injuries. When the victim was taken to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
In the said incident, the victim’s brother Hasan Munshi (45) filed a case with Madaripur Sadar Police Station as the plaintiff, case no. 40, date 26.03.2025, section 143/302/34/109 Penal Code, 1860. After learning about the matter of the case, the accused involved in the said incident went into hiding. Later, the investigating officer of the said case sent a requisition letter to the Commander, RAB-10, Dhaka to bring the accused involved in the incident under the law. Based on the requisition letter, an operational team of RAB-10 increased intelligence surveillance to arrest the said accused.
In continuation of this yesterday 01.04.2025 at approximately 22:30 pm, the said operation team conducted an operation in Rajendrapur Baghair area of ​​South Keraniganj Police Station, Dhaka based on intelligence information and with the help of information technology. In the said operation, the accused in the murder case mentioned in the complaint, Md. Al Amin Howlader (28), father- Md. Alamgir Howlader, resident of Notun Madaripur (Lakhiganj), Police Station- Madaripur Sadar, District- Madaripur, was arrested. There are a total of 18 cases against the arrested accused in Madaripur Sadar Police Station, including speedy trial and explosives act.
