On behalf of the Barura Upazila administration, on March 4, Barura Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Nu-Among Marma Mong conducted a raw market product price check, anti-adulteration campaign and market monitoring activities in order to control the price of daily necessities during the holy month of Ramadan.

During this, the consistency of the purchase and selling prices of daily necessities during the holy month of Ramadan was checked and shopkeepers were made aware of illegal hoarding for the purpose of making abnormal profits. They were warned about selling products at fixed prices and drawing price lists.

During this, two shops were fined 7 thousand taka for not displaying the price list and selling adulterated products.

Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Mong Marma Mong said that in the public interest, the Barura Upazila administration will continue such market monitoring activities to control the prices of daily necessities and ensure consumer satisfaction.
