Additional SP Rasel Monir temporary dismissed

Additional Superintendent of Police Rasel Monir of Naria Circle of Shariatpur District has been temporarily suspended. Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. A notification signed by Mostafizur Rahman announced the suspension on Monday (July 3). Padma Setu South Police Station OC Sheikh Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman was accused of detaining the businessman and writing a check of Tk 72 lakh. In the notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, it is said that the allegations of indulging in disciplinary activities against Additional Superintendent of Police Russell Monir of Shariatpur District Naria Circle have been found. For this, it is considered appropriate to temporarily suspend the accused from government service as per Section 39(1) of the Public Service Act, 2018 and Rule 12(1) of the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018. The notification further states that Russel Moni will get allowance as per Bangladesh Service Rule (BSR) Part-1 Rule 71. The notification also mentions that this order has been issued in public interest. Mentioned earlier in the same complaint Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shariatpur Padma Setu South Police Station Sheikh Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Inspector (Investigation) Suruj Uddin Ahmed have been suspended. This order was given from the police headquarters on Thursday (June 15) 2023. The order reached the office of Superintendent of Police Shariatpur in the evening. OC Mostafiz has been attached to Chittagong and Inspector Suruj to Barisal range.
