Actor Masum Parvez Rubel was injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Barisal highway in Samaddar area of ​​Madaripur.
The accident took place in Samaddar area of ​​Madaripur on the way from Dhaka to Amtali in Barguna in the morning on Saturday (November 16).
The injured are actor Masum Parvez Rubel (60), Md. Kabir Hossain (24), Omar Farooq (40), and Saiful Islam (36).
According to police and local sources, in the morning Rubel and his 8 associates left for Amtali in a microbus. On reaching Samaddar area of ​​Madaripur Sadar Upazila at around 10:30 am, the microbus lost control while sidestepping a passenger bus. It then rammed into a tamarind tree on the side of the road. Rubel and his 3 associates were injured. Later the injured were admitted to Madaripur 250 bed district hospital.
Medical Officer of Madaripur Sadar Hospital, Imranur Rahman Sonnet, said that two people, including the driver of the microbus, Omar Farooq, were in serious condition and were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Actor Rubel suffered head and body injuries. Others were discharged with first aid.
Madaripur Highway Police SI Md. Arab Ali said that after receiving the news of the accident, they quickly reached the spot and rescued the injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Many of the injured are recovering after first aid. However, two seriously injured people have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
