The accused named Ullah Prakash Sahid, who was sentenced to death in the case of triple murder and robbery in Laksam of Comilla, has been arrested. He is the son of Yakub Ali Prakash Ayakub Ali of Sriyang Dakshin Para of upazila.
He was arrested from his village Sriyang area on Tuesday night on November 14.
According to the police, in Sriyang Uttar Para of Laksam Upazila, late at night on their way home after business from Rajapur Bazar, several persons including Shaheed Uliah Prakash Shaheed stopped their movement and tried to steal the money from them.
When they stopped the robbers, they took 3 businessmen to the nearby field and killed them with knives.
The relatives of the victims filed a complaint at the police station Filed a murder case. The court sentenced the culprits including Shaheed Ulyah Prakash Sahid, son of Yakub Ali Prakash Ayakub Ali of Sriyang Dakshin Para, to various terms including death penalty.
Police OC Investigation Thomas Barua, SI Anwar Hossain, SI Habibur Rahman arrested Shaheed Ullah Prakash Shaheed from his own area.
The police sent Asmani Shaheed Ulyah Prakash Shaheed, who was sentenced to death, to jail on Wednesday morning.
