Allegation of construction of municipal roads and culverts by occupying the land of brave freedom fighter Moroshan Ali Shikder and demolishing the site of the under-construction building and boundary wall in Navagram area of Nadia Municipality of Shariatpur.
Professor Abdul Latif, the son of the freedom fighter, complained to the mayor that the victim’s family did not get any benefit.
Suddenly, the boundary wall and the site wall of the living room were demolished with bulldozers, while the accused misbehaved with the family members of the freedom fighter and removed them from the place with threats.
The mayor visited the area, but the victim’s family said that during the construction, the boundary wall and the residence were built with written approval from the Nadia Municipality. Also a case 23/2021 is pending in Land Survey Tribunal Court Shariatpur.
Abdul Latif said, I am a sick person and I live in Dhaka with my children. Influential circles are taking advantage of that opportunity to grab my land, I want the municipality to develop, but if land has to be given for development work, it has to be taken from both sides, why should everything be imposed on me, I want a fair trial.
I will file a written complaint with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer if not resolved then I will take legal recourse.
If you want to know about the matter, the mayor of Nadia Municipality Adv. Abul Kalam Azad said, by kicking his wife, Sudaya Halaim, I went to one place and took money equally from both sides of the road. His building is not approved, let’s demolish the building.
