A retired bank officer killed by his wife, daughter, son-in-law in Kulaura Police recovered the body of a retired bank officer named Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Siddiqui (65) in Kulaura. Today is Saturday The body of Rafiqul Islam Siddiqui was recovered from his house in Krishnapur village of Bhatera union of the upazila in the early morning. The victim had injuries to the back of the head and fingernails on the throat. Relatives claim that the deceased Rafiqul’s wife, his 2 daughters and son-in-law have planned the murder due to retirement allowance money and family disputes. In this incident, the elder brother of the victim Sirajul Islam Siddiqui filed a murder case in the police station as the plaintiff. After getting the facts of the incident, the police of Kulaura police station arrested Rafiqul’s wife Mishfa Akhtar Siddika (55), daughter Sheikh Sharmin Akhtar Siddika (35), Sheikh Tazrin Akhtar Siddika (30) and Tazrin’s husband Mehdi Hasan (32). It is known that Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Siddiqui, a resident of Krishnapur village of Bhatera union of the upazila, was working in a private bank. He retired two years ago. He has 5 daughters and one son in his family. There was always a dispute about the 52 lakh taka received as pension. Wife Mishfa Akhtar and her daughters used to torture them mentally and physically to get the pension money for themselves. He even performed Umrah Hajj with her to change his wife’s behavior. When the dispute arose on Friday night, it was initially resolved in a family arbitration meeting. Later, on the basis of news that Rafiqul’s body was lying on the balcony of the house at around 1.30 am, the police went to the spot and recovered Rafiqul’s body. Officer in charge of Kulaura police station, Md. Abdus Chalek, said that the victim had injuries on the back of the head and fingernails on the throat. Rafiqul’s brother Sirajul Islam filed a case with the police station accusing 6 people. Rafiqul’s wife, daughter’s husband has been detained.
