On the occasion of National Mourning Day on 15th August, Galachipa Upazila administration has organized various preparations to celebrate the day with due dignity under the chairmanship of executive officer Md. Mohiuddin Al Helal on Sunday, 6th August at around 4 pm. Among these, keeping the national flag at half-mast in all government and private institutions from sunrise on 15th August, praying for the forgiveness of the country and brave martyrs in mosques, temples, serving high-quality food in government hospitals, drawing portraits of school, college and madrasa students and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s autobiography. , the preparation of distribution of prizes among the winners along with grazing competition on childhood and economy was decided.
Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Md. Zahirunnabi, Upazila Engineer Md. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Arju Akter, DGM of Palli Vidyut Samity Md. Mainuuddin Ahmed, Upazila Information Officer Ichmot Ara, Head Teacher of Galachipa Government Model Secondary School Md. Nizam Uddin, Galachipa Press were present in the preparatory meeting. Club president M. Khalid Hossain Milton, journalist M. Zillur Rahman Jewel, teachers of various schools and madrasas along with media workers of various print and electronic media were present in the advance preparation meeting on 15th August.
