A student named Rayahan Dhali (15) died in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a motorbike in Patuakhali’s Galachipa. The motorcyclist and two other passengers were seriously injured in this incident. The accident took place at Taltala area of Galachipa-Patuakhali road on Tuesday, July 11 at nine o’clock in the morning. After the incident, Galachipa police arrested the pickup van with driver Abdur Rahman (35). The victim was Nizam Dhali of Badura village of Raihan upazila.

According to family sources, he used to study Hafji in a madrasa in Dhaka. According to the police and sources, Raihan was leaving for Patuakhali with his big bike and a rented motorcycle from Galachipa when they reached Shirsuri Taltala area and collided head-on with a pickup van coming from the other side.

On the other hand, the local people sent the motorcyclist and rider to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.

Regarding the road accident, Galachipa Police Station OC Shanit Kumar Gayon said that the vehicle along with the driver has been seized. The body has been brought to the police station and the case is under process.
