Four people were killed when a covered van ran over a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw parked in Brahmanbaria’s Ashuganj on Monday afternoon. Three of them died on the spot and one died at the 250-bed Brahmanbaria General Hospital.
Khantihata Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akul Chandra Biswas confirmed the matter and said that three people, including a child, were killed on the spot in the accident that occurred at the Sohagpur bus stand area of ​​the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at around 12 noon.
Among the dead, Farid Mia’s son Md. The identity of Sohail Mia (27) and Nazmul Mia’s son Jilani (8) of the same area has been found.
He said that a CNG-powered auto rickshaw was standing at the Sohagpur bus stand and was taking passengers. At that time, a Dhaka-bound covered van lost control and hit the auto-rickshaw Two men and a child were killed on the spot. Two of the injured were taken to the hospital and another died.
