Inauguration of Sahos Cultural Center

Sahos Cultural Center was auspiciously inaugurated at 11 am on Friday, August 4, in Singur village of Jhlam Union, Barura Upazila of Comilla District. The main event started with the national anthem. Mr. Nazmul Huda Ratan, the founder of Saash, presided over the event. Sabur Badsha, chief coordinator of Sassah, gave a welcome speech on the occasion. He greeted all present including the guests present. He said Sahos has been conducting cultural activities along with education since its inception. Apart from celebrating national and international days, school students regularly perform poetry reading, singing, dancing and painting. He prayed for the peace of the departed soul of Comilla District Shilpakala Academy Tabla Instructor Kamal Ahmed and Music Instructor Manjil Sir. These two virtuous men were associated with courage. He also said that cultural activities will go a long way with the establishment of Sassah Cultural Center.

Then educationist Haripad De Bachchu, cultural activist Haripad Debnath, Shamima Yachin, former assistant principal of Sahash School, spoke. The speakers wished the journey of Sahos Cultural Center auspicious and said that Saasaas is playing a big role in the development of society in education, initiation and public awareness. For this, the speakers expressed their gratitude to Nazmul Huda Ratan, the founder of Courage. Speakers said that culture is the mirror of a nation, so it is inevitable to conduct cultural activities to build a beautiful society. The involvement of two people who have come from Chittagong and Comilla to train in Sasash today shows how culturally minded these two are. The speakers wished the success of Sahos Cultural Center and thanked them. Music instructor Md. Shahabuddin, listed lyricist, composer, and music director of Bangladesh Radio and Television of Chittagong and Tabla instructor Satya Chandra Modak said – Culture practice purifies a person’s mind. Only if we can make the generation culturally minded, we will move forward in the bond of harmony.

After that, the Sash Cultural Center was officially inaugurated by Singur Sudhi Sangh President Idris Mia. He said – At one time there was a Yatrapala or play staged with various songs in the area. We have lost those happy memorable days due to the touch of modernity. There is not much cultural practice in the village now. It was very important to inaugurate or start the Sahos Cultural Center. Only if we nurture our generation with institutional education as well as developing the latent talents of children’s tender souls will a strong foundation of students be developed. That’s what we want. In the closing speech of the president, the founder of Sassah Nazmul Huda Ratan congratulated all present and said – Sassah is always careful in the intellectual development of children. We constantly organize various activities to develop the talent of the children as well as teaching them. Another new journey of courage has started with the inauguration of Sahos Cultural Center. He especially thanked the trainers coming from Chittagong and Comilla and urged them to be courageous. After the introduction session with the students admitted in the Sassah Library, the trainers gave motivation to the students. From now on every Friday and Saturday training will continue regularly. Apart from the students of Dasash School, there are also students from other schools and colleges. Sumitra Rani Dey, assistant teacher of Sahash School conducted the program. All the teachers were supportive.
