Allegations of looting and attack on home of innocent family in wake of previous dispute

 In Dumki of Patuakhali, there have been complaints of assault and vandalism and looting of innocent families’ homes in the dispute over the removal of gate shops. The incident of attack, vandalism and looting took place at the house of Masjid Road in Pirtala Bazar of the upazila yesterday at around 6:30 am by a group of 8/10 people under the leadership of former fruit trader Nasir Uddin Khan, a UP member of Muradia. In this regard, Parveen Akhtar, the wife of the owner of the house, Sahidul Islam, filed a written complaint with the Dumki police station. According to Badini’s written complaint and eyewitness sources, due to the previous enmity of removing the gate shop of Sahidul Islam-Parveen couple’s house, Safiq, Miraj, Milan, Rabbi including 8/ led by deceased Rahim Khar’s son former fruit trader and current UP member Nasir Uddin Khan of South Muradia village. A lathial force of 10 people made a sudden attack and broke part of the gate wall of the house and entered the house and opened the wardrobe and ransacked the papers and goods. At that time, when trying to stop the housewife, Parveen Begum was pushed and looted 2 lakhs in cash, at least 10 kg of gold ornaments and a laptop from the drawer of the cupboard. In this incident, Parveen Begum, a housewife, filed a written complaint against the accused in the Dumki police station. Claiming that the allegation is not true, UP member Nasir Uddin Khan said, we did not vandalize any attack, rather they (Sahid-Parveen Gong) vandalized my goods. A case will be filed for that. Dumki police station duty officer SI Delwar Hossain admitted the truth of the allegations. Officer-in-charge Tarek Md. Abdul Hannan said, I am in the meeting of DIG Sir in Patuakhali, I will inform about this after talking to the duty officer.
